Infineum is a joint venture between ExxonMobil and Royal Dutch Shell making fuel and lubricant additives. When you're an oil company, you need to be extra careful when you talk about ESG and get the tone just right. I removed all the jargon and complex language in this 123-page report, made claims concrete rather than abstract, and cut anything woolly or vague. The result was a report that felt honest and straightforward. It also had the advantage of being easy and quick to read.
